Join us for some friendly competition at the 2021 ALES Contest
Massachusetts Covid-19 rules apply. Check the state and town guidelines for masks and distancing. Masks are currently not required in Sudbury.
Planes should be equipped with a CAM or similar circuit that cuts off power to the motor at 30 seconds or 200 meters of elevation, which ever comes first. To encourage more participation, we will allow planes without CAM circuits, but have a 10 second reduction in launch time for those planes.
Scoring will be man-on-man thermal duration with the flight time starting when the motor is turned on. We will have a single pilot class.
Entry Fee: $25 per day includes take out lunch and drinks
Registration Limited to 30 contestants

Bring your own drinks, chair, stop watch, mask and spare mask, insect repellent and sunscreen. We will have hand sanitizer and limited disposible masks. Coordinate with a friend for shade. While there is not currently a requirement to wear masks in Sudbury, we recommend particing social distancing due to the ongoing omicron wave of Covid 19. We have some older and high risk attendees who will leave the contest if not respected.
