This will be an Altitude Limited Electric Soaring contest based on AMA Competition Rules for event 463. We will be using 5M landing tapes marked at 1/2 meter increments. Any local modifications or exceptions will be set at the pilot's meeting by the CD.
ALES device in the plane will be set to 100, 150 or 200 meters as determined by the CD according to prevailing conditions.
Novice Class Rule Exception: Novice pilots flying Radian, Radian Pro, Radian XL or Night Radian that are using the stock motor, prop, and 3 cell battery may apply to the CD to be allowed to launch based on a 30 second climb rather than an ALES device as LISF has determined that these e-gliders cannot exceed 200M in 30 seconds (time will be adjusted proportionally if a lower altitude is chosen by CD, eg 22.5 seconds for 150M). All other e-gliders will require ALES devices.
