The Pumpkin Soaring Festival / Bob Rondeau memorial contest will take place once again, at the Rhode Island Soaring Club turf farm field.
Rules: Altitude limited electric soaring rules.
All planes must use an Ales cam. Duration time and launch height will be announced at the pilot meeting.
75m landing rule will be enforced.
Pie and cider will be included to shuffle up the scoreboard!
On Friday, weather permitting those willing to try some Cross Country for their LSF tasks, both 1 and 2km courses will be available for attempts. Winch/es and retrievers will be set up for it.
Awards: Prizes are awarded each day for the top three pilots. Separate prizes for Expert and Sportsman. The pilot with the best two day combined score will receive the grand prize on Sunday.
Location: The airfield we plan to use is located of Dug-Way Bridge road in West-Kingston, RI. Map of the field. GPS coordinated: 41°30'14.4"N 71°35'45.0"W Depending on conditions, one of the other RISC available sod farms may be used (just a few minutes away). Registrants will be notified by email in the event of a site change.
Food and lodging: Drinks and water will be available at the field. Participants will have to bring their own lunch. Plenty of Hotels / lodging are available in the area closer to Providence. No onsite camping is available.
