$20 per day. Free for Novice pilots and pilots under 16 years old.

This is an ESL Sponsored contest and help from members will be required.

This contest will be two one day events.  

The field will be available for informal practice on Friday before the event.

The contest will be managed using the AMA Soaring Rules 2017-2018 with the following options and exceptions:

1. An AMA/ALES approved Altitude Limiter Switch is required. Launch altitude (200 or 150 Meters) will be determined Friday before the contest and will be dependent on the weather forecast. If you want to borrow a limit switch send me an Email.
2. The Landing score will be a circle graduated by 1 point per 10 centimeters with a 50 point maximum (5 meter tape).
3. The landing scores will be a bonus.
4. Varios allowed.
5. No Skegs allowed.
6. Saturday will have 3 rounds of random flight groups and then switch to Seeded MOM groups.
7. Sunday will be random MOM flight groups all day.
8. To receive a nonzero flight score you must land within 100 meters of the center of your landing circle.  If your plane lands in a tree within 100 meters and is visible from your landing spot you will receive flight points.
9. There will be safety zones defined depending on conditions the day of the contest.  There will be 1 for the parking/set-up area and 1 for pilot safety.
10. 10 minute flight tasks.
11. Inverted landings will result in zero landing points.
12. Lost parts will not result in zero landing points as long as the plane is flight worthy.

 Awards will be the ESL Small Plaque inserts for 1-3 each day for Experts and Sportsmen and 1st overall for the weekend.  Best Novice/Foamie will get an award and Best Overall receives a $25 gift card.

Big plaques will be discounted according to the ESL award plan.

Sign In starts at 8:00 Pilots meeting at 8:45 First flight at 9AM and the plan is to use a standard ALES recording with 5 minutes between groups.

Saturday there will be no rounds starting after 3:31 PM and Sunday no rounds starting after 2:29 PM. A short lunch break each day. No food provided. Please bring your own picnic and drinks.

Primitive camping is allowed. Porta potty of field.
