The ESL changed to Aquiline foots-switches by Linemaster this year. While the switch's footprint is fine for most fields, it is a bit small for fields that have tall grass. There we need a volunteer to build plates (at least size 14 shoe size) to hold these new switches.
We also added a diode into the 110V socket on the winch. This diode dissipates the back-EMF from the solenoid coil and should keep the switch contacts from arcing. An additional benefit is that should the battery be wired backwards onto the winch, the foot-pedal will not turn on the winch.
I might have some scrap wood, why don't you post the preferred dimensions for the plates (better yet a 3D CAD rendering)... or even the type of finish, glossy, if you really want to take out your competition early in the day.
I am serious, depending how big you want them I might be able to do one or two.
Here is a 3-view CAD rendering The finish gloss should be schedule 600. In place of the Velcro, you may drill 4 holes, 0.120" diameter in a rectangular pattern 1.8"X 2.6"as shown. Golf shoe cleats can be substituted for Jacob's soccer cleats if he is more of a Tiger Woods than a Pele.
