Hey gang On the ESL standings page............ There is a slot for an ESL Number, mine is 80 ? Some have no numbers " splain this tooo me Lucy"

It's a relic of a time when you had to "join" ESL to participate in contests. In other words, you paid your money, were given an ESL number and could then pay to fly.
A rule change took place a few years ago to eliminate the membership requirement. Now, you are automatically a member if you compete in a contest.
I'll remove that column from the standings pages beginning next year.

That must mean, I guess, I joined the ESL before Tom Broeski.............man, I am starting to feel OLD!! In reality, its a bit of history going away. Too bad...............

Don't worry Pete! That history is not going away. I still have it in the ESL database. Perhaps at some point we can publish a ESL seniority list and make some of you feel really old! |
