I was aware of this problem this summmer and changed the layup at this area by adding two layers of Kevlar at the joint area. I also recomend this area be wraped with a layer of Kevlar and then two to three layers of glass so it can be sanded smooth. If you have the earlier fuse make sure it is wraped with Kevlar and glass.
