Pictures of the Aegea Mantis can be found in this forum under the topic "Phil's new Mantis.

The 130" Aegea Mantis wing is $375
V tails are $75
Cross tails are $100

I charge $15 for packing and actual Fedex ground shipping charges.

The 130" Aegea Mantis wing uses Mark Drela's airfoils and planform as published in the Allegro-Lite files section;
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Allegro-Lite/?yguid=163476728

My 130" Aegea Mantis wing uses a carbon tube spar structure with a carbon and Kevlar skin.

1) How to buy your wing?
2) What fuselage would you recommend?
Thanks.

To buy any Mantis stuff just send me a request by email;
philipdbarnes@verizon.net

The recomended Luchenbach fuselage is available from Terry Luchenbach;
terrylasw20@juno.com

The Luchenbach fuselage is what most people use these days. You can see it in this forum. I used it for my 130" Aegea Mantis (one of the sticky topics at the top of this forum). There are also some build threads in this forum featuring the Luchenbach fuselage.

Please humor a newbie with some simple questions:
1) What is the construction of the Aegea Mantis wing-bagged, molded, or open bay?
2) Is the wing 3 piece?
3) What is the airfoil?
4) What is your address to send a check?
Thanks.

Pictures of the Aegea Mantis wing can be found in this forum under the topic "Phil's New Mantis" and here;
http://www.b2streamlines.com/MantisHistory.pdf

See the link earlier in this topic for the Aegea wing plan in the Allegro-Lite group. The airfoils and planform are on that plan. Airfoils used are Mark Drela's AG series.

Construction is vacuum bagged, solid core with carbon tube spars and a carbon/Kevlar skin. Here is a link to a detailed description;
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248256&page=1

If you wish to purchase a wing, just send me an email (address in an earlier post in this thread), I send you the wing with an invoice (my address is on the invoice), you then send me a check.

Sounds great! What colors are available for the top, bottom, and tips? What is delivery time?
Thanks,

PaulM

Bottoms are always natural carbon and kevlar (unpainted). Tops are normally just white. I could be persuaded to add some simple color stripes to the tips for an extra $20. Wait time right now is a little hard to predict. There was a recent flurry of discussions about this wing on RCSE and now I'm swamped with orders. I'm also swamped with orders for Denny's new Thermal Dancer. I can't see getting caught up in less than six weeks but that's a best case scenario not a promise.

Nice! Thanks. How to choose between the Aegea Mantis and the Thermal Dancer?
