Let's see what the experience level is out there.

Club contests definately count!

I just flew in my first contest this weekend LISF2. WOW I blew up my plane on the first launch and had to finish with a back up plane I hope that I don’t ever have to fly in windy conditions like that again. However the experts and sportsman pilots just took it in stride and that kept us newbie’s going every one was so helpful it was hard to believe that this was a competition. I got help and advice on flying the conditions from pilots that I had never met before it was a very pleasant experience thanks to any of you guys out there that helped me that may read this.

Mike,

It has been several months since that first contest. I know you have continued with soaring. Perhaps you could post what you have been doing since then. Other new pilots may find your journey interesting.

Do you plan to fly in contests again?
