Hi everyone,
Several people have asked to add links to maps of the fields we fly, most recently Mike L. suggested Google maps… ok, the best scenario would be the LON/LAT for each field, but short of that, we can use the zip (where the field is located not the adjacent town where you live in )
Please help and post ether the direct link to Google maps of your field, Lon/Lat or zip, this include the HL guys too.
Here is a link to the field I use for flying http://maps.google.com/maps?q=12804&t=k&ll=43.355882,-73.653417&spn=0.005406,0.013475&t=k

I will be bringing a GPS with me to the contests I attend this year and will be glad to do a waypoint which will provide the Lon/Lat. It will also be available to help with lost planes so if you have one go down get as good a bearing/ground reference as possible and ask me for the GPS. Stew |

Guys,
What I am looking for is help from those who live near and fly at those fields, so if you have the Lon/Lat then post it here, if you have the zip then just post that. This way is easier to collect the information before flying season start.

CRRC Davis Field:
My black Volvo is shown parked at the CRRC Davis field off of Rte 117 at 42°24'59.94"W and 71°23'58.92"N in the new Google Earth. That checks out with my GPS which recorded Elev 185 ft 42°24.999'N and W71°23.976'within about 0.4 seconds. |
