By Mike Lachowski Very very hot today. It was probably around 100F and no wind. USA Team did very well in round 1. USA Team 1st place in team standings.
Forgot to mention the thermal from hell that hit the tent area on Monday. I wiped out Poland, the Netherlands, and a few other countries. Tents were totaled. Tent polls were falling from the sky. One model was lifted about 100 ft and was totalled.
Local paper had a pretty good picture. Hopefully a scanned copy will make the official WC web site. They have a downloadable MPEG of some of the TV coverage too.
